5. Tomorrowland - 2015
The movie that is the clause for this list, Tomorrowland is an overall okay movie that lacks a full-fledged story but was a fun time at the movies. Tomorrowland is nowhere near close to Brad Bird's best movie, in fact, it doesn't even feel like a Bird movie. This movie had the potential to be an amazing, original science fiction movie but instead became one of the most disappointing movies of 2015 and will be forgotten by fall.
4. Mission: impossible - Ghost protocol - 2011
It seems a bit weird putting this movie at number 4 but that just shows how good Brad Bird's other movies are. Bird's first live-action movie is an incredible take on the Mission: Impossible franchise and an amazing action movie. Bird brought fun and a more grand sense of adventure than any of the other M:I movies. Also, no action scene beats the part when Ethan Hunt was climbing up the building in Dubai. So suspenseful and amazingly directed, Ghost Protocol is a near perfect action movie.
3. The iron giant - 1999
The Iron Giant is one of the most emotional and mature animated movies ever made and it is a masterpiece. Brad Bird made you care for a gigantic metal death machine that was designed to kill. It is the classic "Frankenstein" misunderstood being story but we had never seen it done before like this. Vin Diesel uttering "Superman" still brings me to tears. Too many people haven't seen this movie and if you haven't, you must watch it ASAP.
2. Ratatouille - 2007
Ratatouille is an incredibly genius movie. Led by the voice of Patton Oswalt, its tale of a rat who wants to be a chef with the help of some human friends and it has always hit me in all the right spots. Brad Bird makes you hunger for more (pun intended) and you never want it to end. Ratatouille is one of Pixar's best and another masterpiece by Bird.
1. The Incredibles - 2004
Not just one of Pixar's best, but also one of the best superhero movies of all time, The Incredibles is a genius, fun, and action-packed animated movie. Even if Bird lifted inspiration from existing heroes such as The Fantastic Four, he created a way better movie with his characters than Fox has with the FF. In a world of "dark and gritty" superhero movies, The Incredibles will always stand the tests of time because of its enthralling narrative and unique flare.
